Jochen Ostertag is a self-taught artist based in southern Germany. Raised on a farm, he developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and making things by hand from an early age. After training as an Industrial Mechanic and studying Industrial Engineering, he spent several years working as a project manager before turning his focus toward artistic creation.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he took up woodworking and discovered wood as a versatile and expressive material. As his projects gradually evolved from craftsmanship into design and art, he founded Ostertag Productions in 2026. The studio is dedicated to transforming structure, energy, and aesthetics into unique creations, primarily crafted from wood. Inspired by the raw beauty of nature and visionary works of architecture, each piece seeks to unite form, material, and expression.
